I have built a replica of a WW1 tricar ammunition carrier and Im having huge problems getting insurance to use it at displays ( just driven in the arena realy). Ive already got PLI cover as a static display but it seems a bit pointless to have a vehicle and only be able to look at it. Does anyone know of an insurance company that wont run screaming for the hills as soon as they find out its not a road legal vehicle? Any suggestions would be very welcome. Banging my head against brick walls is starting to hurt!
this is the vehicle in question.
I am wondering if anyone has any photos or details about the AC three wheeler that was used by the 25th London cycle batalion as a machine gun carrier for their maxim guns. They started of with 4 in 1910 but by 1918 the regement lists 12 so they must have been fairly useful.
I can only find one photo on line and although Im sure they arn't that much different from the civilian models it would be nice to see what the diferences were, especialy as I am looking in to the posability of making a replica.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I cant give you exact figures as my MJ is 200 miles away at the mo, but the bed is about my shoulder hight (I'm 5' 10") so about 5' and I would gues at 6' 6' for the canvas as there is plenty of room for me to stand up in there.
Hope this helps.
Does anyone know of a good suplier of brake master cylinders for a bedford MJ, the few on ebay seem a bit pricy, failing that does anyone know if a referb kit for a bedford comercial (such as a tk) would be compatable?
Thanks in advance.
