Hi I have been offered what appears to be a 1958 nylon tool carrier with a trails entrenching tool? I have been collectecting for over 30 years and have never seen the entrenching tool before, and only ever one picture of the carrier in the book Modern British webbing Equipment by Simon Howlett. Where it is described as a respirator case, as you can see from the pictures it is marked as Carrier, Entrenching,Tool Several pictures show a standard sized entrenching tool at the top for comparison Has any one come across this tool and carrier and are they as rare as hens teeth, or is it just I haven't seen them? Hi My name is Terry, and I have been collecting militaria for over 30 years. Concentrating mainly on British uniforms and equipment from WW1 and WW2, but have recently been adding items from more recent times up to the Gulf War. As I now have some more space and funds, I am now considering adding a vehicle and think this site will be a good start to my research in deciding what to go for and prices and costs etc. I also hope I can take part in topics, and use some of my knowledge and gain more, as when it comes to Militaria you can never stop learning.
