  1. see you had time to paint the back of the engine bay as well! What caused it to go bang? I notice you have to jack up the chassis, presumably to get the sump off clear of the front axle, not a problem I reckon I'd have with mine as it's only 6x4?

     

    Nice to see it's going back together :)

     

    not sure realy but looking at the head the one valve has broken clean off were as the other one as been hit so i think its droped one and then it got in the way of the other im waiting on paint now should be with me on tuesday all the other bits are done but will still be looking at prob 10/ 12 hours work fitting it back up

  2. Had a good weekend in Abbergaveny last weekend but on way back wot we all dont want to hear that funny noise of somethink not quite were it should be and then she stops very suddenly

     

     

     

     

     

    about an hour later my mate turned up with the recovery

     

    started to strip it the next day and oops mad a mess

     

    took out two valves and the piston

     

     

    well a few days on and just fitted 6 new pistons

     

     

     

    should be all sorted this week with abit of luck

  3. 'Ere we go again............. it can sit in the woods for twenty years plus, looking at the trees, and be left there to rot away to nothing if undiscovered. All of a sudden someone wants to buy it and it "Wont be cheap". :???

     

    as i said i would ask the owner how much he wants ive had a good look round it today the starter has gone, seats, dash, the cab has gone on the n/s rear of the door and front all the back body box at the rear and the side lockers dont look very healthy ether ( didnt want to poke around to much didnt want to get a shower of rust ) all the rear lights are missing most of the glass has been broken and thats just getting started the bad news is the bloke is looking at :shocked: £2250 :argh: for it it is a shame to see it going that way but you would need a week to get it out of were she is and you carnt even get in to her to get parts off it, its to well boxed in :cry::cry::cry:

  4. got called out the other week a mate of mine had a call to say they had got a jcb stuck and as i couldn't get the militant in there, there was no better thing to use than the samson :-D
