yes but we love it really
I take you sourced all your spares ok? It didn't take long between posting initially and this post showing stuff going back together.
I take it you must have a show coming up, either that or you don't like hanging about?
yes no prob with parts i dont like hanging around but have got shows as well

see you had time to paint the back of the engine bay as well! What caused it to go bang? I notice you have to jack up the chassis, presumably to get the sump off clear of the front axle, not a problem I reckon I'd have with mine as it's only 6x4?
Nice to see it's going back together
not sure realy but looking at the head the one valve has broken clean off were as the other one as been hit so i think its droped one and then it got in the way of the other im waiting on paint now should be with me on tuesday all the other bits are done but will still be looking at prob 10/ 12 hours work fitting it back up

'Ere we go again............. it can sit in the woods for twenty years plus, looking at the trees, and be left there to rot away to nothing if undiscovered. All of a sudden someone wants to buy it and it "Wont be cheap". :???
as i said i would ask the owner how much he wants ive had a good look round it today the starter has gone, seats, dash, the cab has gone on the n/s rear of the door and front all the back body box at the rear and the side lockers dont look very healthy ether ( didnt want to poke around to much didnt want to get a shower of rust ) all the rear lights are missing most of the glass has been broken and thats just getting started the bad news is the bloke is looking at  £2250 :argh: for it it is a shame to see it going that way but you would need a week to get it out of were she is and you carnt even get in to her to get parts off it, its to well boxed in :cry::cry:

Pete, what types of Militant do you own ? Are they all MK 1 ? What do you know about their history ? Cheers. (and yes, THEY do own you)
there all mk1s first one is a gs cargo 27cl51 as seen on some early picks second one is a mk1 with a mk3 atlas and the other one is a short wheel base bridging lorry but its just a chassis cab at the moment
-
it could well have been a genuine one i should have taken more notice. all you could see was the front corner of the cab and the tank but at that time never thaught ide own 3 (or do they own me ?)
-
I have seen some 5 / 6 years back a mk1 milly tanker not sure if it was genuine or not because it was to far away but it was opposite dudley zoo it was when they were building the new retail park / tesco's dose any one know were it went after the builders finished ?
