I'm starting a thread on the local SA 4 x 4 forum covering a Casspir that I am scratch building.
http://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showthread.php?t=158437
So far I have sourced a Mercedes 1517L which was the donor vehicle used for the original Casspir.
Updates to follow...

Thanks...I have all the info that's available on the net
I need the actual blue-prints to make an exact replica..
Funny thing is that I live in Cape Town and Denel is +/- 40 km from my workshop and I cant get any info from them..."classified information"
I tracked down one of the original manufacturers and he still has the prototype hull (I can get it for R150k = GBP 10 000)
Bax Models is 5km from me but his models aren't 100% to scale - same with all the other models out there - close but not close enough.
I'm flying to Johannesburg tomorrow to measure up one and will post CAD drawings for all when I'm done

Has anyone got CAD drawings or full dimensions of a Casspir? I need to build a replica for a show and am too lazy to go measure up one..

The yellow truck is a Mercedes
I found a builders plate inside the "thing" it is a RCV-9. it is running and complete. The asking price is R50k....seems a bit much for it.

The hippo was built on the Bedford RL chassis.
The Casspir was built using all the running gear from the Mercedes 1517 “Groente” truck and has a monocoque hull.
They are available if you have R1,600,000.00 to spare.
I’m looking at building a full size replica but cant find any plans or drawings......anyone?

G'day
They make wine in South Africa?
See........ jealousy

There's always an argument about who makes the best wines......I think it boils down to jealousy...
I’m mainly in the Dairy industry.....milk, cheese, yogurt, ice-cream, amarula.....and sometimes wine and cider....

Howzit (SA greeting)
Hi all and greetings from Cape Town where the best wines are grown......
I am Landy man at heart and specialise in re-building Series 2 and 3 landy's and the occasional Forward Control.
My real job is Process Engineering - designing and building process plants but its a dying industry so I get to spend lots of time playing with Landrovers.
Thats all I can think of at this point in time......
