  3. OK so we have gone off track a bit here. So lots of people seem interested which is good. But maybe salisbury might be difficult. I'm sure no one on here wants there vehicle confiscated :-o

What about the new forest area is there anywere here we could do a little off roading i know there is area for camping if u wanted to make it a 2 day thing. Trouble is its getting more south which i futher for people to come.

    Any more ideas ?

  4. Hi All

While having a chat to jack today we spoke about all meeting up. Maybee a road/offroad run?

There isn't much going on show wise until April, may time. I thought i would be a good idea if we could have a dayout with our vehicles a little road run some where?

Anyone got any ideas where we could go? Both jack and i really enjoyed the off roading stretch of the road run at the "gathering of eagles" is there any were around that we could do a bit of off roading? jack suggested some where in Dorset?

And i suppose some where big enough to take a gmc!!

would be nice to see a show of hand who'd like to come?

    Any ideas where to go?

The best date to get the most people to come?

    Regards

  5. Hi Marty

I also have that Tm 11-2725 manual on how to fit a radio into a dodge.

Early last year i bought a scr-964/bc-1306 fully working to fit into the dodge but have never botherd to fit it. It should be fitted in the centre on one of the back seats but takes up too much room.

The previous owner had a radio fitted at the front wear u get in, i will dig out a photo if i can find it.

Radios look nice but ain't practical if u want to use the back of the dodge.

  6. hi karoshi

yep went along it was a really good day out. got there about 10.30 there was lots people dressed in 40s clothing and uniform and was really well attended. Went up and down the line on the train a few time which takes about 1 hour to go back and forth.

Thank god the weather stayed dry until about 3 i think and then it started to rain.

There was a couple of jeeps a jimmy and an civilian 40s car.

berni and russ were late arriving overslept  arrived about 12.30

when it started to rain we went alone to the tea dance but was so full we were told we couldn't go in. but we managed to squeeze in eventually.

overall a really good day nice to meet up over the xmas period.

    So jack where were u?

    Rowan
