Can anyone give me any information on the kl welding truck? I'm looking to find out what it would have looked like and would the kl be the chassis it's mounted on?

they were mainly used in type b (softskin) workshops and also used in supporting armoured engineer sections but were mainly used in the transport capacity the same as the hillman tilly was used in type A (armoured) workshops

i found the war establishments and im looking to find out what each vehicle was hopefully with some pictures, they were part of a port workshop during ww2

yeah ive been researching it since the summer, not bad considering i dont have a service history from ww2 for my grandfather, beginning to expand into other forums to see if anyone has any more info

sorry richard i replied on my phone hence it being short, i know about raymond he died not long after the landed in Bone Algeria, the unit spent approx 15 months stationed there before moving to the mainland of italy

been considering a 109 land rover series 2/3 with a marshall body as i have a bit of a softspot for them or 109 softtop landrover ambulance but im open minded to things, preferably with a bit of work involved.
volvo c303? or a 10cwt trailer would be interesting as well

Thought I'd post and ask this I'm looking into getting into military vehicle restoration and looking for help, I'm wondering what's the best vehicle as a starting block on a limited budget? I'm interested in the 10cwt British trailers. As for skill level I'm a former commercial mechanic/plant mechanic to trade. Any help is much appreciated

i thought id introduce myself im hutchie im 23 and hail from central scotland (alloa to be exact), . im ex TA served in the argyll & sutherland highlanders now a member of the royal british legion. work full time as a security gaurd & do military history research & genealogy as a hobby, would like to get a restoration project on the go next year once i get married been looking at this forum over the past few weeks lots of interesting stuff
grandfather was in africa/italy/croatia19th port workshop reme
dads uncle was A&SH then went onto do 23 brigade (TA) he served in aden (only just started researching him)
my faincees family had alot who served too, just getting things together for there side, including home gaurd, merchant navy, RAF and various other regiments, her uncle also owns a fully working series 2 landrover ambulance
