Saw some on Salisbury and Warcop a few years back, never got close to them though as we was in four tonners coming back off ex. I did however to look around in two Cheiftains at Ripon last year, both were in decent condition for a wreck.

Ponderosa, is going to be wicked this year, there is a mockup village and trench system which the NWW2A Reenactment Association will be inhabiting, also apparantly the battle will have 5 Tanks, again apparantly some of these are Shermans.

There will no doubt be stalls and other vehicles, sounds really good, I only live about 20 Miles away so no doubt I'll go and have a look.

Near Identical to the '68 Pattern RM Windproof apart from its '85 Pattern and made by Arktis not HE Textiles. Sorry, the quality is quite bad, these were taken on my iPhone.

I had to replace the Rear Rankslide with an Epaulette from a Modern Trop Shirt, similar colour, I couldn't find an original rear rank slide.

I got this for £15 off ebay, the inside of the hood has a tear and a few cords are missing, other than that it was a bargain. I have worn this many times.

Crap price too !!!! Some very similar repro 59 pattern denisons were still being made into the 1990's.....wrong press fasteners, cuffs, collar lining and zips amongst other things.......worse feature was the cammo pattern.....although the colour was okay for a late model smock, the cammo pattern just wasn't quite right (too "busy").......some of these still turn up on Ebay for sale as originals but the dead giveaway is always the cammo pattern....

£150 for a Repro 59 Patt? I can get an original one for that, and its too Yellow and Green, the 72 Style late model smock was a creamy colour with dullish green not extravagent green. I managed to pick up a mint '66 dated 59 Pattern, it looks like a Brush Stroke pattern, I got it for £100, a lot cheaper than Silvermans.

It is interesting to note that the late-pattern Denison smock was commercially produced during the late-1970's by J & S Franklin LTD for some obscure African nation.....it is almost a dead copy of the British MoD version but with commercial labels..........they occasionally turn up for sale on Fleabay.......rumour has it that they were worn by the "enemy" in the film "The Wild Geese".....I think Survival Aids also made a fairly good copy too during the 1980's...??

The Simbas? I think they were 72 'Cut' Denisons? I know some had Pre-59 pattern smocks on aswell.

I know Silvermans do a crap copy aswell now.

Dont know if this picture upload has worked but if it has it may be of interest. Its a version of the old British Army 60 pattern smock made for the Bahrain Defence Force in the 1970's

Has it got the stiched collars? its quite obscure but nice.

Regarding the P68 Para Smock, the labels are all washed out, they a light OD now, the text has come off.

I will check when I get home later and post photos if so but I don't think it does.

You have a lovely P68 Para Smock there which are rare and quite expensive now, was that your friend's smock? and if so which Battalion was he in?

This is a beauty, my P68 Para Smock, which was badged to a Corporal, no DZ Flash though but it did have wings on. I picked this up for £30 with minor damages and I had to replace the cuffs as they were too long.

This is my P85 DPM Para Smock, which is one of my crown Jewels, I managed to score this for £15 with minor damages which were repaired I replaced the Cuffs on this, it has 95 Pattern Pockets on the Back and a Rankslide.

I think this might be made by Arktis, but all the labels are faded.

Some lovely Smocks there, I really want a 68 windproof, I am currently looking for a SASS para style smock my dad had when he was in the signals in the late 80's, I shall post some photos of my Arktis RM Smock when I get home.

Also, check out the Overloon Museum photos, as this is one of, if not the largest selection of military vehicles in the world. It is in South Holland and is well worth a visit.
