ive got an old pipe thats going for scrap if you want it, started welding up the huge hole then decided on a new one...
you could either repair it or use it as a template

MV Enthusiasts are generally very friendly, go and buy a veteran car and see what they are like, rattlesnakes are friendly in comparison....

Hi Paul,
meeting sounds good to me.
i havent done anything to the living van since the cold weather arrived, seems like its been winter forever....
started the Scammell last weekend for the first time in about 4 months, surprisingly the batteries have held up ok in the cold, lots and lots of black smoke, has made me a bit keener to get it uncovered and take it out for a little run to the pub in the next few weeks.
hope youre getting on ok with yours

Ive got my Explorer covered by Autohome.
make sure you tell them i must not be suspend towed., cost about an extra £15 a year.
They told me on the phone, it only covers for £1500 worth of recovery, so with something big on a low loader, your only going to get 1 call out.

Both my vehicles need oil changes.
does anyone have any recomendations where to buy the oil, i need sae 30, ep 90, ep 250 and a big bucket of grease.
local to Sussex would be good or a good mail order service.
or a good cash deal..... :-\
thanks

I read that horse bugers can give you the serious trots...
we've got about 1" of snow.

Scammell Explorer with an on-board tyre inflation system, how does this work, the gauge on it shows air pressure, but the rest is so covered with layers of paint and such that its difficult to see how it works.
there is a small lever on the front, again all stuck up with paint.

Hi All
Happy new Year.
does anyone have photos of what the explorer factory heater looked like, and was anything similar fitted to anything else?
thanks

Hi,
Had a play with the jib winch, which seems ok, just some grease here and there, i had some tips from the Ian the previous owner, very helpful, sounds like the drum sticks, so a little nudge with a bar needed.
i hate these dark wet evenings, having to wait until the weekend to fiddle, in the process of refitting the living van, i bought a crash damaged caravan and now in the process of fitting it all in. i could do with being retired or have a few months paid holiday to get all the jobs done.
hows your engine install going, pretty major work...
