The MOD spares number is NSN 8415 99 130 6035 Rivet Liner Retention, if you have a contact who can order for you?

I was told by my old RQMS that once a helmet is handed in as the liner is worn out etc it will make its way back to the factory for refurbishment and then reissue.

Nope they were definitely 4rd clips for the bofors, you must be thinking of something else? Maybe Russian version, they were 5rd clips?

Not a problem mate, as long as you got what you needed that’s the main thing!

You are better off with a repro, such as this:

An original would be grubby, faded and are normally has a degree of hardness as its rubberised canvas. Plus, pricing would start from around double the cost of a copy.

The first faux pas I noticed was less than 3 mins into the first episode with the convoy running out of fuel and the senior officer (who was sat in an MW) said he'd been watching the fuel gauge getting empty made me laugh. Only someone who's driven or been in an MW will know the fuel gauge is a calibrated piece of wood or steel sat by the side of the engine cover that you have to stick in the relevant fuel tank to know how much is left. But still it was an enjoyable series if you ignored the obvious mitsakes!!

I give it 8/10 for effort and entertainment.

You need to remove the gas tube 1st then unscrew the rear guide to release the handle. What does the serial number start with, will tell you manufacturer and year.

Hi there, that's the right shape for a L/Cpl stripe but what your looking for is a plain white example. Used in the 60's and 70's.
