  1. Hello all!

Sadly it's come the time to sell on my lovely 1962 Hotchkiss M201 Jeep. Only had chance to cover 500 miles since restoration!

She's had a full restoration and conversion so that all visual aspects look to be of wartime manufacture (vertical strengtheners, rear tub folded seams, dash notch, gauges) and British wartime vehicle regulations (wing marker lights, horn).

Many many thousands spent on her (new full wiring loom, new carb, new dizzy, new plugs, new head gasket, new lights, new top hat woodwork, new floors, new sides, 0% Rot! new clutch and thrust bearing)

Still in 24v she runs perfectly as can be seen on the attached video. Many boxes of 24v spare parts included (dizzy, plugs, ht leads) so worry free motoring for years to come! New batteries also fitted last year!

Much of the work has been done by Nick Jeffrey of Jeffrey Engineering fame.

WS19 Set currently fitted, complete with A + B sets, F + G Section Aerials, intercom system, ancillaries and even a mast kit and remote operating kit! This can be removed and a lower price negotiated as required.

    Engine running -

  2. Hello!

Thanks for your reply, 63 indicates 1st Herefordshire in the 11th Armoured.

The 636 I believe is the number partly obsquired by the Sten, as 3 is yellow according to that US site. The photo was taken in Sept 44 in Holland.

    Cheers

  3. Hellooo!

Nice set up! I've got some guesstimate measurements from a bit of reverse engineering, comparing the tray the wheel arch.

This mount fits directly to the arch, the 8 bolts attach to the rubber vibration "top hats" which inturn attach to the tray.

So hopefully should have a mock up made shorty!

  4. Sorry to bump this old thread, been wondering about these coded stripes for a while as wanting to finish marking up my jeep.

You can see from the attached picture, to the right of the windscreen base (right of the "PNR") is these three horizontal stripes.

Is there anyway of working out what the colours should be?

    Cheers

  5. Sad end to a mighty B52! Being an ex-RAF Airframe + Propulsion Technician and witnessing first had the destruction of our aircraft (C130K's at RAF Lyneham) I know what it's like lol!

Though couple of packs of Custard Creams to the civie contractors secured a few bits for my collection! Lol!

    Cheers

    Danny
