Hi I ran Bedfords for years as passanger carrying overland trucks in Africa.We used to run with the front prop shafts off most of the time we were on tarmac.Never had any transfer box problems.We did it more to save the splines that developed more play when in freewheel as it were.I guess there was a marginal fuel saving not dynamic.It did seem to make for a slightly quieter cab at higher speeds on black top. :-)

  2. The Canadian branch continues to grow. Welcome to the Friendly Forum. Some of us haven't decamped to the Hop Farm yet and some will not at all, so there is always life beyond Beltring at HMVF.

  3. Welcome, as for the pint. With the weather round UK at the monet a pint of Brandy and a Vallium sandwich would be nice. Many regulars are off currently enjoying the mud baths at the War & Peace show, so it the peaceful time of year.

     

    I'll drink anything by the pint...except creme de menthe!
