This Hanson Torpedo Truck/Crane was saved today from skrap yard and send to WW2 museum at east cost of Iceland

There come lot of Gas 69 and others russians cars to Iceland because a special agreement  with Russian gowerment before . Russians would by fish from Iceland  and payment was cars and tractors. 

The serialnr. is OT 438 and Code STD 24. And steering wheel is made from wood.

About 3 years with good stops all summers

My Russian GAS 69 in restorian prodect

This item was found on a shore in Iceland the year 1944, close to where the biggest Navy stationwas in Iceland. Does anybody know what it was used for?
