hi thanks
i'm only guessing at 'supacat ' , i found one sticker on it but it had been painted over/ rubbed away , all my best tricks to recover the writing didn't work unfortunatly ....

hi could anybody shed any light on my 6x6 , i think it maybe a supacat , but can't find any pics or info ....
it runs a 2 cylinder citroen engine and gearbox, it also appears to have a drive coupling from the engine pully , its a full skid steer the front wheels are fixed straight ( ie they dont turn like later supacats ) ,chain drive , an ally hull , the back (not shown) it flat and hinges upward from the rear ....
i've made up most of it by matching parts , cleaning and servicing bits and making bits from scratch , i'll post up some more pics at the weekend when i can get it out in the open.....
any help would be great , many thanks phil :-D

It has similarities to the Mk1 Supacat, that had a Citroen engine and transmission, but not a 2CV, think it was a four cylinder. The army had a few and I used to work on a couple which were used on the ranges.
i can't find any makers mark , i've got a badly stamped number on the body though , the 2 cylinder (2CV i quess ) look's like the genuine artical ,the exhaust ,mounts, etc all look pretty manufactured rather than made up ....

a ac/dc TIG is really the best thing but £££'s ....
before you do anything clean with something like brake cleaner , to make it really clean , and don't touch it afterwards the grease from your hands will contaminate it ....
i use the wurth panel bond , 3M do a similar kit but i can't remember the part number , it works very well on non structual areas .. swage it and bond it can be rubbed/sanded down when it's set and is very strong , they use it for bonding roof skins/quater panels on a lot of cars ...
