Long-time lurker, first time poster from So Cal in the USA. I'm the Editor of Jp magazine, an off-road enthusiast Jeep magazine based out of Los Angeles, CA. I have an appreciation for early iron, historical vehicles, and anything that's cool and mechanical.
This thread sucked me in: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?429-WW1-Dennis-truck-find
And I'm currently hooked on this one: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?13514-WW1-Thornycroft-restoration
I don't own anything of real historical significance or great age (at least by the standards of most members here), but I have built up around 20 Jeep projects of all sorts and enjoy reading about some of the incredible restorations on this site. Some of my past and present favorites:
My personal favorite: '53 DJ-3A.
The family fun Jeep: '78 Cherokee Chief
And a couple of the others including one of my favorite builds, my '68 M-715.
All go, no show: former US Border Patrol '71 CJ-6.
my '51 Cadillac Superior US Navy ambulance.
WW1 Peerless lorry restoration

If it's any consolation the weather here in San Diego, California went from 26-C the past few days to 15-C and drizzle...which for us counts as a major winter storm. 😂
No matter the weather, watching you gents over the years restore and build these vehicles (especially your Christmas-time bursts of progress) have for many of us out here lurking in the internet shadows become a real pleasure . Thanks for documenting your journeys.
