Hi,
If a picture isn't available could you tell me if the dials on the instrument panel are black or white background?
Thanks

Excellent, Good luck with the restoration. Would there be any chance of a picture of the cab interior instrument panel and seating?
Don't know if this data will be of any use.
Look forward to developments

Hi folks,
This is a link to a walkabout of the Fordosn 15cwt GS. I took the pictures down at IWM Duxford, on the 6th June 2009 during the Military Vehicle Open Day. Unfortunately I don't know who ownes the vehicle so couldn't included that in the walkabout information, but if it is yours or you know who ownes it let me know and if you/they like I will add that infomration and anything else about the vehicle history that may come to light.
It's a cracking looking vehicle and it was a real pleasure to see it at Duxford. As a model maker these type of pictures are invaluable when building the kits, which often lack detail.

Thanks,
This is my limited knowledge on the vehcile.
The Guy FBAX was one of many 3 ton 6 x 4 vehicles produced by the British during WW2. In fact the 6 x 4 chassis was first produced in the mid 1920s and was a design favoured by the War Office. By the outbreak of WW2 the 6 x 4 was considered to be obsolete, the newer 4 x 4 being favoured, but 6 x 4s remained in production throughout the war. Sometimes referred to as rigid six wheelers many were used for specialist bodies and for bulk load carrying such as pontoon, bridging and derrick equipment.

Yes, infomration is a bit scarce.
I do have the vehciel specification if that would be of any help, but I imagine you have that already.

May I as why you would like them? My Uncle has a few "projects" lying around. What in particular would you like photos of?
Certainly. I am building a 1/35 scale model of the vehicle but it is a bit light on detail especially around the cab area, so I was looking for some reference pictures of the actual vehicle.
Many thanks
Alan
PS: Do you by chance know what the FBAX stands for? Thanks A.

I can't get down, but if you by change have a photo walkaround that would be terrific.
Many thanks

Hello folks,
Just signed up for the site. My interest in Military vehicles is from a historical and modelling stand point. Unfortunately I don't own an old vehicle, maybe one day.
I'm likely to ask lots of questions but will contribute as best I can.
Many thanks
