What is H91 KMJ? A prison truck?

 

Good thread..... came in to see photos which are great, with an impromtu discussion on safety.

H91KMJ is a ex RAF radio repair workshop

Fallen foul of the government already, I was under the impression I could just book an MOT and turn up.

Spoke the man at VOSA to book an MOT and he told me I need to complete a VGT1 form, then post it to them.

He also told me the local MOT station is booked up until the 17th of July>

 

I could rant about the online booking etc etc but I would just be wasting my time:laugh:

If the RB has 8 seats in it you can get it MOT'ed as a car on a class 4 mot when I first did my one the test centre checked with VOSA and they confirmed that this was ok and then got it registered without any problems

I am, you can camp from Friday and there is a barbeque and music (hopefully live) for exhibitors on the Saturday night

Over the last six years I have owned two 432's the first one was inspected by the DVLA before they would register it, five of us also took our H license in it on the public highway and the Department of Transport also came out and inspected it before they would agree that we could take our tests in it.This vehicle has done over 1000 road miles without any problems.

It has also been driven to MENCAP charity events and Traffic Police have also been in it on the road.

I purchased the second one in February this year from Withams and registered it in April without it being inspected as they said they knew what type of vehicle it was and did not need to inspect it as they had already registered a number of these before, I had more trouble trying to register a RB44 but thats another story.

would you be able to take some detail photos and scribble something dimensioned in the way of a drawing fo that roof basket, we have a 436 with the lug mounts but no basket and I want to make a faithfull copy.

I Have just brought a 432 with a roof cage that I dont require and would sell for £125 if your intrested?

got back from show at 10pm (why does it allways rain when packing up?)

 

Only niggle was being woken up at 0300 by loud music that didnt stop till 0500 approx sat morning (and we were near where the ACF were camped!!!).

 

Was some nice vehicles there, met a few forum members, piccys to follow

Oh well could not have been NLBA making the noise until 5am for a change as I was the last one of the NLBA to go to bed and that was 3am and I took the music system with me. Must have been some other group enjoying them selves?
