The CB licence has been scrapped but regulations are still applicable, If anyone is interested I'll dig out the letter I received from ofcom.
-
Not any more you don't, I received a letter telling me I no longer need a licance to operate a CB, I had held my CB licence for 12 years.

Where are you lightweight? I'm sure a member near you would help you set it up.

You took your time Gareth.

Hi David, it's interesting how many of us ex-service get into this, I think it fills a void.
I missed the comradeship that this hobby is akin to, you'll always have mates in this hobby.
Welcome.

Another Devon member, we ought to arrange a SW run.
-
aha, that was my point earlier in the thread, & who reported it? a blinkered Chris Davies, these are the people we should be talking to, you'd think if someone was going to do a report on a show they would at least get their facts straight, Chris Davies still refers to it being war on the line.

the windscreen mag may be 50/50 on war time vehicles & pw vehicles but this 6 years / 60 years, still hardly equal.
The Buckfastleigh show was called war on the line as it was ww2 vehicles taking part, this changed a few years ago to the Buckfastleigh military weekend as pw vehicles were in equal numbers to WW2 vehicles, what I don't understand is why events are still being called ww2 events, if the Devon area MVT can change the Buckfastleigh event name why can't other areas?

Maybe the mvt could start a sister group, the PWMVT rather than risk loosing pwmv owners as members, yeah I know, it will never happen
I had the statistics for 2005 of how many people didn't renew their MVT membership & how many new members joined, it was something like 1000 didn't renew but 1200 joined, I don't recall the actual figures but it was along those lines, it wont be until the membership numbers drop that the MVT will consider doing anything more for the pwmv owners, I know there has been more info on PWMVs since complaints were made including one from myself, if you want more then you are going to have to shout louder & to the right people, ranting on a public forum isn't going to get anyone anywhere.

Farmhouse cook book, the wife bounced it off the back of my head & I've been good ever since.
-
Wife for sale, 1 careful owner, low mileage for year, regularly serviced, looking a bit tired, a bit stiff in the mornings & difficult to get going but probably just needs the nipples greasing, there's also a blow in the exhaust, Free to collector. :naughty:

Has anyone looked closely at his sleigh? can you see if he has a canvas bucket hanging on it? :-D
-
Bucket on the pintle hook, I heard it was a signal that the driver was single, depending on which end of the vehicle you hung it dictated what gender you were looking for, front female & rear male or tother way round, I can't remember which way round it is so I don't hang one anywhere.
-
Hi SAS, I thought I recognised that vehicle, how's it going?

The SWR meter will go between the radio set & the antenna, you plug the antenna in the side where it says ANT & you need a short patch lead to go from the radio to the SWR meter, you have the instructions from there.
