What a sad sight with so many gun tractor wrecks. 

I'm trying to get the dimensions of the chain locker stowage bin beneath the driver's door on the Scammell TT. I need the overall width, the height and the depth back to front. The thickness of the sides and bottom and how far it is back to the chassis at the side. The final key measurement is how far forward of the cab front it projects towards the front mudguard.

This is to complete a 3D model of the tank transporter and so I can 3D print a scale version

I'd be very grateful to any member who can supply me with these details thanks.

Hi,

I'm a modeller interested in military vehicles and have been building 1/76 scale AFVs and soft skins for around seven years. I tend to build a lot of conversions and scratch builds and therefore reference material is always a necessity. Obviously there is nothing like seeing the real vehicle and I think people who preserve military vehicles are doing us all a great service.

I've been a forum member for quite a while but this is my first post- largely because I only make models of military vehicles rather than mess about with the real things. I wish I had pockets deep enough to get stuck in with a real vehicle though. I do have a second car that comes out of the garage on sunny days- a Saab T16s cabriolet c.1991- modern I know but quite a tasty beast to drive with the hood down. I live in Pickering and always look forward to our Wartime Weekends when we are invaded by a goodly selection of WWII vehicles- more Jeeps than you can shake a stick at!
