I have a scanned copy of the April 1949 5460 Identification List for 10 CWT Trailers. It has some good detailed arrangement drawings. Shoot me your email through PM and I'll send you a copy.

Emil Bruce has found an original wireless airborne jeep. You can see how the tub has been lowered on the left side to accommodate the 22 set.

Can anybody tell me who makes repro covers for the British airborne 80W battery charger?
Thanks

No wonder I was having a devil of a job fitting it! Thanks Chris.

Thanks Gents!
I just happen to have a Bren to fit it on to.........however, I'm struggling to figure out which way to fit it - any clues?

I'd be great to see it happen, but I believe they'd need to respar it, the BBMF's had there's done a few years ago.
Now, if someone can give Kermit Weeks a prod, he's got a Lanc in storage.
I asked Kermit about his Lanc project a few weeks ago and he classed it as a 'long-term project' so don't see much happening in the near-term.

Thanks Simon,
When are you expecting your trailer to arrive in the US?
Due to arrive in LA in 2 weeks. Not sure how long it will take to clear customs and then about a week to get to Colorado. Still trying to figure out if it will fit in the garage with the two jeeps!!
-
looks fantastic - great to see it resurrected!!

Simon: Front garden is ideal for this...although, my wife seems to think it is for plants!
I know what you mean. When I first came over to the US I couldn't believe that some houses had a 3 car garage. Now I've filled it with two jeeps and have the airborne trailer on the way. The Mrs isn't very impressed............

looks to be progressing well......... lovely sized garden to work in........
My 10cwt trailer is currently on route from the UK to the US. Expecting it to arrive end of March.........

Agh, it would be the No.4 as the Mk4 is a .22 version of the SMLE No1 Mk3. I was hoping I'd found someone who had used the Mk4 in cadet use. It appears the No.8 .22 had completely replaced the Mk4 in British cadet use by the 60s as know one can remember seeing them soon after the No.8 came into use.
OK - just for clariification - it was the No.4 Mk 1 303 version we shot. Bren's were 303 as well. We did have .22 rifles but they didn't look like the SMLE.
-
We had live firing Lee Enfields No.1 Mk 4s and Brens when I was in the cadets up to 1987. We used to take them to the range every year for our summer field day.

Thanks gents, will give him a call.

Never had a problem, gots some parts for the carrier only the other month. It could take a couple of days to get a reply
Sent my first email 3 weeks ago and another one last week - no response. What email address did you use?

Hi - I'm a Geordie who's been living in Colorado for the past five years although currently commuting to Calgary, Canada for work!
Followed a familiar path into the MV world, starting with getting back into scale models about 10 years ago and then deciding to scale up to 1:1 once I got to the States and realized WWII jeeps grow on trees here (well not quite!).
I have a '43 Willys MB which I bought as a motorpool restoration and marked up to represent my Great Uncle's unit in the war - 146 Field Ambulance, 50th Div.
I'm in the middle of restoring a '42 Willys MB to SAS desert raider configuration. Although I've also decided to change my '43 MB to British airborne config, which I am half way through. I was also crazy enough to decide to buy an airborne trailer in the UK and ship it over to the US - it's currently on it's way - now I have to figure out where to store it!!
Cheers
