Last month we have present this vehicle first time on a military vehicle show in Swiss.

He has worked at Swiss Army in Brugg.

the Magirus Uranus isn´t like the Uranus of Swiss Army that ar right-hand-drive vehicles.

This Uranus ist on of the first Prototype of Magirus Uranus Tank Transporter. (Magirus A 12000)

The Belgian Army an der German Bundeswehr have tested this vehicle which has some differents to other later Uranus.

here a picture of a Magirus Uranus in 1999. I visited the vehicle in Belgium. 4 of such vehicles are "killed" an the motors an winches are selled to africa.

This extreme misalignment on the rear axles, is because of the extrem using at Recovery work!

What is the Explorer towing frame strapped to the crane framework?

As German it isn´t known by me!

here are some impressions from a Magirus Uranus KW16 Recovery. This vehicle were positioned in Berlin by British Army in past.

Now, the Recovery vehicle is standing in Switzerland by a Magirus collector.

This vehicle was restaurated all in all 4 years and was positioned at Aachen in the past.

My favorite vehicle is the Magirus Uranus, as tank transporter or KW16.
