  1. yes - there was one listed on here - in a scrapyard - but in Malta!!

and yes you can run them - just have to a) tie them down b) ensure that you have a good "raw-water" supply going in the right "hole"

  2. don't lose it (smile) - see GoFundMe "restore HMS Bronington" - we have found the Original Gun -

but that sounds like the "Tool Chest" that used to be behind the Gun up against the bulkhead of the Wheelhouse!!

but i digress : for another project, do you have in stock an Oerlikon Mk 2 on a "solid, tapered" mount for shipboard use

or are you able to find me one, please - peter

  3. exactly the one -

was it on a tapered metal mount or a 3-leg one, please

    i have their phone number

so shall phone in the morning and see if they've still got it

    thank you

(I see you now live in the Netherlands - may we stay in touch, please

since I am Crew on a Southerly

and in normal  conditions we come over to the Netherlands every year

    perhaps to meet-up??)

  4. Question -

does anybody know what Mark or Model of Oerlikon was used on MGB's in the Second World War

(we hopefully are going going to need one : the plan is to restore (to Original)  MGB 45 / later Polish S3 / later still M V Freelance )

    2) following that, does anybody know where there is one??
