I'm sure we all ensure we comply with regulations as best as we, or our vehicles, are able, but I can't help thinking we are flogging a dead horse. Especially when we can't get drivers of modern vehicles to use the basics....... yes you BMW drivers and indicators etc.

Could it be a Stoewer R180 with a slightly different roof? This one is at the Weal Foundation...

Some early Landrovers actually had the lower portion of the front off-side wing (beneath the marker light) pre-painted black from the factory, so that the registration number once issued could be painted on.

Hello Ian
When I escaped the clutches of HM service, individual unit / vehicle markings were not common. Certainly no arm of service and divisional signs as were the norm in the 70's.
They had been virtually discontinued in the mid-eighties. The only exceptions being the union flag front and rear, and sometimes the squadron/company symbols displayed on the side. (Triangle for A Coy, Square for B Coy, Circle for C Coy etc).
I don't recall any Wolf Rovers bearing any markings, except RAD HAZ markings near antenna mounts.
Hope this helps.

We fitted them to anything that had the screw-in fittings. Looked rather natty on 1 tone Rovers

Saw this in the carpark at Duxford on Sunday. Looks absolutely gorgeous. OK the tyres are incorrect - I assume the owner wanted something less noisy than the traditional Goodyears.
