Could anyone tell me the age of the following binoculars/gunsight?

Very good condition and sights are clear.
In orginal wooden box with leather strap (key for box is missing) one brass coachman fastener attahed to box to retain leather strap other is inside the box.
The rubber eye piece is showning signs of age as expected

I'm sorting through our collection of Military bits and bobs and I've found this stowage box with two infrared lenes in it,  I presume infrared as no light shines through them. 

Would anyone know which vehicle are from?
