In terms of British motorcycles, there is no real problem in getting tyres to fit in the 3.25 or 3.50 x 19 sizes generally found. The problem is that they generally look a bit modern and are a little too road-biased.
If you had a copy of the old Dunlop Universal or Good Year Extra Grip especially in 3.25 then I'm sure you'd have a market.
Would you or anyone have a pic of a of the old Dunlop Universal or Good Year Extra Grip ??? Thanks for your help

If there are any MRF ( Madras Rubber Factory, India ) dealers in the UK , might be worth giving them a try . MRF manufacture a 900-13 with a sort of NATO/Michelin tread pattern . A few of us ( Australia ) have bought them for our Canadian 8 cwt C8's. You UK guys may have to organise a batch import of them to make it worthwhile, I doubt if a dealer would import just 5 tyres.
As far as I know OLYMPIC here has sent the 900-13 sand grip moulds to Asia, Indonesia I think. The Melbourne factory has laid off many workers and the last Australian batch was made in 2000 , I have 3 of them dated 2000 , they fit certain towed agricultural implements like balers.

When did you last get some MRF 9 x13 in australia and where they speed rated and ok to use on road etc
Thanks

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me? I know that on some 9.00 x 16 bar grip tyres the USA tyres have a 5 degree tapered bead and for UK rims you need a normal bead that fits on flat base rims.
Question is do all USA bar grip manufactyred tyres have a 5 degree taper bead and can not be fitted to UK rims or for the bigger sizes they all have the same bead construction and it is only the 9.00 x 16 tyre that have the tapered bead also 6.00 x 16 for Willys jeep do these need tapered bead rims or just normal rims??
Any info anyone could provide would be very welcomed??

Hi
Donald Smith here I have been taking an interest in Military vehicles over last few months which is now growing. I am importing tyres and I hear a lot of you guys are finding it hard to find certain tyres so thought you might be interested in what I could potentailly offer in future??
I brought in some 9.00 x 16 bar grips and you can see them in the ads section. I am now researching what other size tyres people are looking for so keen to hear from anyone on what tyres their vehcile uses. So far thinking of bringing in
6.00 x 16
9.00 x 16
11.00 x 20
Look forward to any feedback and discussing this matter in the forums going forward.
Regards
Donald Smith
