Many thanks, yup spotted the spelling mistake, all looking for is externally to have the static mast, I have the wing boxes and candle sticks, I do not have the intention to fit a radio internally, I just would like at this point to have it appearing as FFR when as a static display
Hi, sorry to jump on an old thread, while i was serving we never had these access panels on our FFRs, but i would guess that any Antenna Coaxial cables or the remote cable (Don10) would be run through these, Coaxial cable is of the Armoured Variety and quite stiff and Thick (fnar fnar) what unit was your vehicle with? might give an idea of the type of mast "typically" associated with the vehicle? @ 30 Sig Regt we only had Clark 12m which were ideally located away from the vehicle, but we often bungeed ours to the side because we were lazy pmsl, this wa before the clamps were brought in, altough i do remember the R.E.M.E LAD (Light Aid Attachment) cutting and welding some Mast Base plates to the rear bumperettes and fabricating some Clamps Half way up the Rear body.
