Blimey John,
Thanks for your help indeed! I just tried the diff lock and got a clunking noise coming from near both hubs, no drive.
Luckily I have an identical donor vehicle (left picture unfortunately literally falling to bits now ) so Monday I shall be getting down in the weeds literally!
Many thanks

Hi, Scammel Nubian chassis with Kirkstall axles big bang from rear axle how do I check the half shafts?
Guessing it is half shafts as uncontrolled throttle ran up to max with brakes on in gear.
Many thanks indeed

Folks
Is there anyone that could give me the measurements of the holes in the rear tub of a Series one Land Rover where the fittings for the table are mounted? Trying to identify two sets of holes.
Many thanks

Terrific thanks John50. Mine is a MK2 with a standard 1 1/2 bore Lockheed master without booster.

Good afternoon folks............................
Eager Beaver Tractor, wheeled, fork lift 4000 lb.
Basic hydraulic brake system as RL.
All new cylinders, master cylinder re honed ss insert (Past Parts)
My question is;
All replaced and bled - brakes non existent. Push pedal - soft as grease no pressure on brakes which then almost instantly go on loads of revs pushing against brakes to move????
Any definite evidence from anyone of modern brake fluids not working in these original unmodified brake systems? Bled old fashioned bottle way, reverse pressure bled and vacuum bled no difference.....
Thanks in anticipation!
Ok reading through threads as it's raining looks like the answer is yes I'll buy some and post if there is any difference!

Definitely green as I remember looking at them in the war reserve compound at Gutersloh and one that I nearly bought 30 years ago was also green/black camo.
