As a new member, I would like to find out if there is any information on my 1929 Rolls-Royce 20HP, registration: WM4068, which was converted to an ambulance in 1940 and stationed at RAF Biggin Hill. After the war it was used as a coal van until 1970 and left in a barn in Bucklebury, until the mid-90's (see photo taken in 1984).

    I do not have any military numbers or any other detail. I have previously contacted the Royal Air Force Museum who put me onto Geoff Fletcher at FMW, but neither could help me; the only comment being "sadly no records of individual RAF vehicles (or RAF contracts) survive for the period up to 1949, there is only some photographic and other evidence".
