Private sale £16000 no VAT to pay!
Located in Chesterfield
For sale here is recently released unregistered 2008 Mowag Bucher Duro 2 truck in the usual ex-MoD excellent condition, maintained regardless of cost. 6 good tires and a brand new Michelin XZL spare (275/80R20 size all around). It has a very strong Cummins 5.9 24 valve diesel engine which pulls like a train. It is a very capable vehicle both on and off road.
It is direct from the MoD, where it was first delivered into service on 13 December 2008, which is on average 2 to 4 years later then the majority of MOWAG trucks sold recently by the MoD. The vehicle is supplied with the military release certificate dated 10 November 2015.
The tacho shows approximately 5,600km - this cannot be verified for accuracy but is likely to be correct. It delivered into service on 13 December 2008. This vehicle starts on the button, runs round the yard and appears to operate correctly but it will require replacement of both current batteries.
Witham Specialist Vehicles confirmed that the complete trucks are now all but sold out, except for the £35,000 plus VAT cranetype Mowags or the severely butchered ones used as spares so grab one while you can. No more of these will be coming up from MOD.
The container body box is de-mountable within 40 minutes so different bodies can be used on the truck. It is, therefore, a great base chassis to create a very unique and capable on/off overland/expedition vehicle or motorhome. Note to the buyer: air compressor unit has been removed. Although aircon unit is not part of the sale, I have it in a secure storage, its condition is unknown (potential buyer has to arrange means of pick up himself).
It is a private sale so there is no VAT to pay!
Inquiries from other EU countries are welcome.
Payment by BACS only. Vehicle will be released when funds clear in bank acc.

I quite like the Swiss-made Saurer 6DM and 10DM trucks. It is a nice alternative to MAN Kat 1 trucks.
From the vintage point of view, I would say late 80s until electronics were introduced into trucks.
