I owned this federal in the late 1980s i restored it and also the K78 that was in a derelict state.coming from Geoff Brown ..it was sold in 1989 and went to the north east area..I also saw this at GDSF and could of wept as its not in the best of condition ..It had a bedford 500 diesel engine in it when in my ownership ..and won best military vehicle at Stoneleigh in warks in 1988..These and the Autocars are superb vehicles .

Hi Macc ..sadly be missing from astle park this year as i will be working in South Africa from August 8th to 10th December ...but got plenty of handbrake stuff ..If you needed it while im away im sure my daughter would be around for you to get it...speak soon mate ..hope the Rogers is coming on nicely...Graham

    Hi Macc hope you well..This used to belong to me at one time when it was a wrecker ..fitted with a Leyland 680 power plus and 5 speed albion box ..went really well nice to see it has survived ..wonder if any of my other 14 look as good ...Graham Booth

Hi John ..yes Frank did have a Armoured one also.. that came from France he bought it with Mike Maslin ..was in green ex french army Yes Peter Gray managed to get it through customs for him ..I drove it off his low loader for him at Liverpool docks when he sold it ..original Hall Scott still in that one ..I got some pics picking it up with him at Dover i will try to post on here .. on his old Pickfords crusader..

Hi Phil the picture shows just the front 15 axle bogie it has 10metre beams between another 15 axle rear bogie and frame ...weight of empty trailer 210 ton ..the turbine weight is 349 ton ..will be moved next weekend with the Unipower on the front and a 8x8 Faun Goliath pushing with a 6x6 Faun koloss helping on the front of the Unipower on a couple of small hills .. Gross weight with tractors approx 705 ton

Hi Les hope you well...Yes the same Diamond T is now coupled to my old Crane mk 1 tank transporter Trailer and owned by the Muckleburgh collection ...Roughly round about that time there were 4 well known DTs ..Tom Bowmans ..the 1 in question my old 980 now owned by John Simmonds in civvy Guise...Jeff Browns at Bristol..and Tony Graves in westerham ...quite a few more these days to admire ..speak soon mate
