Hi,
This is a great show and the Military Lightweight Club are looking forward to attending again this year.
Individuals will complete and submit their forms as usual, but i can't remember how we booked the Club in last year....getting on a bit i presume :red:
Can someone let me know what the process is? I don't want to leave it too late.
Kind regards,
Gordon

Thank you, we'll get the paperwork sorted asap.Hi Gordon,Sorry that was a mistake last year and you will be located in the main field this year, the committee recognised the problem last year but too late once you were all set up. Looking forward to seeing you all at the event and submitting the paperwork early would be great and gives the team chance to get the planning right.
Best Regards

Hi,
The Military Lightweight Club will be sending in the forms for our vehicles in the near future and we are really looking forward to attending again this year.
Last year, our Club stand and our displays were placed in the field at the back with the campers.
Please can we be in one of the main areas with the other Military Vehicles this year?
Thanks and regards,
Gordon

Yes it did. Since purchase, we have also acquired an original sight and barrel & rear covers. Still looking for an original cleaning kit though.did the spotting rifle mounted on top of the barrel come with it? I am looking for one for myself. -
Thought i'd post a pic of the RR that we bought at the War & Peace show in 2008.
The weapon is destined to go in the back of a Cypriot National Guard Lightweight Landrover, which we are currently bringing back to it's 'as used' in-service condition, without being 'over restored'.
Rgds,
Gordon.

On behalf of the Military Lightweight Club, i'd like to thank the organisers for a fantastic show and mirror the great comments regarding the organisation and facilities.
We will definately be attending again next year and hopefully we can put our club stand in with the other military vehicles.
Thanks and best regards,
Gordon & Val.

Hi,
Fitting the Intercooler took a lot of head scratching in order not to have to alter the profile of the vehicle. In the end it was a simple as turning it upside down.
CW, if you send me a PM with your email address, i'll send you some photos.
This is our MUTT which we will be selling in the very near future. It will be sold without the weapon and radio.
We are near Clay Cross.

Hi,
We are trying to identify what uniform the Cypriot National Guard would have worn in the late 70's.
Mark Lloyd's book (Modern Combat Uniforms) does show a picture of a soldier wearing a combat jacket, but states that these were only worn by special forces/paras.
We would like to find out what someone in the artilliary would have worn. We believe that their personnal weapon was a version of the SLR, but are not 100% certain.
Any info/pictures would be most appreciated as we are trying to obtain a couple of uniforms & webbing for one of our displays.
Thanks and regards,

Hi,
Found this forum yesterday by accident. What a tremendous source of information on such a varied amount of vehicles, equipment and topics.
At present we have five Air-Portable Land Rovers.
Three of them are the Series III variant and two are Series IIAs. Both of the IIA variants are in need of restoration and we will be starting the first of these over the coming winter. Our aim is to have it completed for the shows next year.
We also have a MUTT M151A1C (without the 106mm RCL) which we are thinking of selling in the very near future.
Best regards,
GAV
