  1. Not immediately useful, but worth having, I managed to get a spare engine over the winter - it's basically a kit of parts, but will hopefully yields some useful bits. The most useful being a newly re-profiled cam shaft. The current cam shaft is severely warn towards the back of the engine, as it only appears to be lubricated from the front.

Hello from Western Australia, many thanks for a helpful and informative page, my name is Derek from the central wheat belt in Western Australia,I'm a fifth generation farmer and mechanic by trade as well.. I have a Matador and a Ford dingo scout car also a few other military bits and pieces down here.. I will be starting to refurbish the mat in the vary near future once harvest is out of the way. It is fully complete and hasn't been bastardised or ratted, just falling apart!! It is nice to see so many people sharing and helping out with the one hobby.....
