Injectors serviced and fuel pump flushed, started okay, but found rear head gasket blowing, so now I plan to remove the cab, and then start on the engine my initial thought is to remove the cylinder heads, sump and take out the pistons

Hone the bores, check the piston ring or replace, check the big-end bearings, re-seat the valves and test bench the fuel injection pump.

Reassemble and try...

I will need as a minimum a engine gasket set, so if anyone can let me know where I can find engine spare parts (model 0853) then please drop me the contact details

I have recently bought a AEC Matador which was standing for many years, so I plan to bring it back to a working timber tractor.

 

Attached photo when we started it to move it back on a low-loader to Stanton drew nr Bristol.
