Battle of Britain! Agreed it was a great film. The air sequences were incredible. I would also like to honorably mention the Longest Day. Great lists, guys. I have some new films to pursue.

I admit I am much more familiar with the practice of naming vehicles in the American military. Nose Art is probably the most common example. A practice that has been discontinued for Political correctness. How common was the practice for the British during WWII? Does anyone mark their vehicles now? My WC52 is named "Debbie Doo" after my wife and fits her "personality" perfectly.

Thanks for the kind words! Tony B. I envy you driving your awesome WC around the English countryside. Thanks for the welcome, friend. As far as English humor goes, I get it! (usually!)

I own a 1944 Dodge WC52 and a 1945 Willys MB that is currently in several hundred pieces on my garage floor :-)
I am a huge fan of 3/4 ton WC's and I have owned mine about 4 years.
This looks like a great site and I am looking forward to getting to know everybody.
