Bovington T-fest 2009

Finally, queries. I've been able to name all the vehicles apart from the following. Be grateful for answers as to what they are.

Incidentally, there is a complete gallery of every vehicle that was in the Living History Field on my site and a total of nearly 200 photos from the day. This is the link: http://www.simonsfotos.co.uk/c1723299.html

Hope you've all liked the photos. I'm now off to Duxford for three days of the best flying there is and not a jet to be heard!

Is it me or did anyone else think the comparison between the Tiger I and Sherman M4A2 HVVS (76) was a little Silly?

A comparison between a Tiger I and a regular M4A2 would have had much more validity.... By the time the M4A2 or M4A3 HVVS (76) came along most of the Tiger Is on the Western Front were either knocked out or abandoned to the West of the Sein.

Besides a Sherman with wide tracks, long barrel and muzzle break looks more than a match for a Tiger I to the general public:-D

Simon,

This is a a South African Reconnaissance Car Mark IVF. Better know by the British as Marmon-Herrington Armoured Car Mark IVF.

HTH,

Good call Hanno, I wracked what few brains I have over that one and forgot all about the Marmon Herrington.:banghead::embarrassed:

All the fuss made by Wayne on another thread about correct uniforms and here we have Jack's GMC sporting American markings and wearing post war Norwegian tyres being used by Britsh troops. I assume that the scenario was depicting North West Europe , a theatre where GMC's were, as far as i am aware, not used by the British. If he's so fussy about uniforms why not the other details:confused:

You'll also notice that the driver has expired from repetative strain injury from jamming his foot on the starter trying to get it going!
