0 Mrs Hardyferret
Sorry Jack only got 1/2" & 1" machines.. Jack I am sure if you got what you wanted in the correct layout we could 'up size' it and then hand cut them. (I used to do it years ago) I would be happy to have a go and if you don't think its up to the mark - nothing lost.
0 TooTallMike
Star stencils can be made very easily: draw out a circle of your chosen diameter on a piece of cornflakes carton or similar cardboard. Using a protractor mark out five points 72 degrees apart. Join them up and cut out the resulting star with a sharp knife. For really big stars you can just mark this out straight onto the bodywork. 0 No Signals
I'm no expert at this, in fact I've only ever done up to 3inch letters for myself, but I do have access to a computer setup which will cut in sticky back vinyl any shape which can be drawn on the computer. If there is sufficient interest in the end result I can invest a bit of time in to sorting out the system. I.e. drawing stencil stars etc. The only thing is that the vinyl isnt for free, unless someone else knows a source! I would have to look in to what it would work out at. The fonts I have used for the letters were Browning and Stencil Gothic. Both of which seem a fair representation of what is seen on various photos from the time(ww2). Both of which you can check out online to see what they look like. The offer from Lee does seem the better bet for the small ones as it seems he can do them 'fer nowt'. Which is a very generous deal indeed! Well done that man.
