84KB11 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Completely non MV question. There seem to be quite a few Jag owners on the forum, so hopefully someone can help with this. I have a 1989 Daimler XJ6 and the stupid electronic indicators will not behave themselves. Sometimes they are fine, sometimes they won't work. At the moment it will indicate left, but not right. What is the best fix? Change the indicator stalk, or is there an electrical box somewhere that gives this bit its "brain"? Why they could not have just used a proper mechanical switch is beyond me. Thanks, Quote

Thanks, The electronics were terrible on the XJ40.It looks like the indicator stalk is playing up.Known problem. There is no brain for that side of the electronics. The only thing with a seperate "brain" was the headlights.Or light module as it was called.A complete pain in the a**e.I replaced to sets of those at £125 each.Things vastly improved from 91 on up until the introduction of the X300. 84KB11 Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Thanks all, Forum link added to my favorites, thanks Lee. Looks like I need to replace the indicator stalk then. Off to search EBay for one.... Quote
