The unit at the top of the picture with arm on it going to the left? Cheers. jack
Richard Grosvenor
Hello Jack, Hmmm....Looks interesting. Is it attached to the leaf spring? If it is, could it be some sort of shock absorber? :? Regards Richard

Richard Grosvenor
Hooray for me!! I was going to say the same as Matt about chassis numbers, but......  Regards Richard
Guest matt
Early 43,although the chassis was probably made before then. Matt.
sirhc
That is a lever arm damper. I've got similar ones on the Spartan: I do know of a specialist who can rebuild them, in Birmingham, but when I had one that was broken it was cheaper to find a new one. Jack
Matt. This conflicts with the date of the truck -1944. Or does is?
Guest matt
It probably got the earlier links during a post war rebuild in Norway. Matt.

Joris
My Dodge has the same type of shock absorber, nice to know they used the same parts on different vehicles.
