Ah, thanks, i need to stop using my phone for looking at the internet and get a new computer sorted out.

The Rolls Royce chassis was used as the basis for the wireless tenders used by the Armoured Car Companies under the idea of commonality of parts/ease of maintenance theory so prevalent today. The fact they then went and threw in a large assortment of tenders for the general load carrying role spoilt it a bit.

What is the truck at the tail end?

The image does not show up clear when enlarged as to a name on the radiator top tank.

There could be a series of holes along the front cross member which would indicate Leland, and being a 6x4 on singles , could it be an early terrier? (Not the same as the WWII type)

Does anyone have a list of vehicles types used in this campaign?

Doug

I never even noticed that this vehicle was a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

Re DesertBloom's post (No 71), this photo is the very devil to find on the Library of Congress website. The link you want is:

http://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/2007675259/

Click on the upper of the 'Click for more images' box, then either study each individual photograph or use the 'view pageturner' to find the armoured car as image No 237.

John.
