pop larkin Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 For the 2nd year running I will be organising the 1940's weekend at the National Trust's Castle Drogo near Drewsteignton, Devon. Entry forms are available to download from the Devon MVT website http://www.devonmvt.co.uk/castledrogo.htm or contact me direct and I can send one out. Perched high above Teign Gorge with dramatic views across Dartmoor, Castle Drogo was the last castle to be built in Britain, and also boasts to be the National Trusts highest garden at 900 feet. 2009 will be the 5th 1940’s weekend at Castle Drogo and it is ever growing in popularity with both visitors and exhibitors alike. With military vehicles from all eras, WW2 living history displays, WW2 battle re-enactments, WW2 weapons demonstrations, and much more. Quote
