Joris
The past few days were very hectic but very well indeed. I visited the Airborne commemorations in Eerde, Eindhoven, Arnhem and Oosterbeek. On Wednesday evening I was at the Windmill in Eerde where they remember the fallen of the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment who landed, fought and died around Eerde during Market Garden. Also remembered there are a tank crew of the 44th RTR who were killed in their tank in Eerde.

This ended with the parade through the city center where thousands lined the route, it was very impressive.
Joris
On Friday I had to miss all the activities due to other obligations but on Saturday I participated in the Race to the Bridge. This starts in Heelsum near the Drop zones and then we drove to the John Frostbridge and back to the Hartenstein Airborne museum. http://www.hmvftv.com/watch/499e50248a3a78f7acfc/Race-to-the-Bridge-2008 http://www.hmvftv.com/watch/7fa5b98d5bb769ba1a7c/Race-to-the-Bridge-2008-Frost-Bridge http://www.hmvftv.com/watch/98ce89cb86f73acc0464/Wolfheze-railway-tunnel
Joris
And last but not least I went to the Airborne Memorial service on the Arnhem Oosterbeek War cemetery on Sunday the 21st. The most impressive & emotional part is when the school children lay flowers on all the graves and then the air planes make low flypasts, which is always impressive too. http://www.hmvftv.com/watch/5e77550897e25711e1d9/Airborne-Memorial-Service-2008
