Adolf Hitler survives an assassination attempt by German staff officer Count Claus Schenk Von Stauffenberg who explodes a bomb inside Hitler's headquarters at Rastenberg in East Prussia. The bomb is badly placed, and Hitler is only wounded. Stauffenberg and his co-conspirators are rounded up and executed.
