ashley Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Found the homepage the the link to their for sale page appears broken, any one else find this? I am sure it is Ilti (pronounced Ilty) but the collective noun .... needs more research, Ashley Quote
Steve 82 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Iltises ? (well, sounds better than the latin - sounding Iltii....!) Interesting car though - its the one VW `Kubel` I am missing, but its non-aircooled powerplant is difficult to get enthusiastic about (for me, anyway).........sad, I know Quote
antarmike Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Q Iltis - What's the plural of? A "more than one Iltis" Quote
Snapper Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 As an ex-owner, and a student of some sort of English, it should be Ilti, but I come from the time when more than one sports ground are stadia and not stadiums. Iltis is the German for polecat - not Ferret, as called in Canada. They like to confuse - too much warm air in their toques. Quote
Kuno Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Colleagues; It is like this: in regard of the possession of such vehicles you have three possibilities. You own... A) no Iltis B) an Iltis C) several Iltisse (Do I sound now like a teacher ?) Quote
Snapper Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 You might be right...but, I loved the thing. It made me smile. Quote
schliesser92 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Iltis is a German word, and means "Martin" (as in the little beast flitting around in trees!). The plural, like sheep, is the same as in the singular. Quote
