Hair Bear
So was that a bridge collapse or a reversal into a lock cut? and where?

radiomike7
It was a bridge collapse. At Funtley near Fareham. Looks like a day's work for six men not 7 days for fifty men:shocked:
Hair Bear
Thanks for that, at first glance the water looked like a drained canal pound. At least the tank didn't split - that could have been a real crappy job.

covjohn
there are a lot of these vehicles now in civilian hands.(6x6) nearly all are modified from original to make them more civilian friendly. ie: beacons/new paint/modified electrics/equipment remounted onto new chassis etc. I wonder how many actually remain, and whether some sort of register would be worth doing.(on a separate thread?) ie: working vehicle, display vehicle, broken up, lost in service etc. old id no/new reg no etc. it would be easier to find this information now rather then in 20 years time, i would think. I know of a few near me but the owners don't know the military id numbers, although they are looking for them on the actual chassis mounted plate,my own one took a while to find the number by rubbing the paint off. some came with the plates till attached which made it easier to id. militant-nick
Any photos of yours John? when I was on Facebook there was a good ex military Foden group, I bet most of those may know who owns what & what regs etc. One lives up the road from me with Shiptons recovery. militant-nick
Thanks, looks good. Wonder what the story was there then? I've contacted a number of Foden owners with a view to posting a Foden register thread on here shortly

militant-nick
The Foden in the very fetching battenburg livery was owned by BJG but then sold to CMG as seen here, it has since been sold on to persons unknown (anyone know who or the mil reg?).
