Adrian Dwyer Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) These images come from the excellent site: <https://www.silverhawkauthor.com/articles>. There really are some cracking photos of all kinds of vehicles used by Canadian troops. Edited December 13, 2024 by Adrian Dwyer additional images 1 Quote
Adrian Dwyer Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 I'm guessing that cigar tasted SO good. Quote
Adrian Dwyer Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) Worthy, I think, of it's own entry. 'Trooper Albert Andre Coulombe H/100590 (aged 20) from Benard, Manitoba, of the 14th Armoured Regiment (The Calgary Regiment), resting on his Norton 16H motorcycle in Volturara, Italy, 3 Oct 1943. Sadly, he was killed at Monte Cassino, 12 May 1944 and lies at the Cassino War Cemetery, Cassion in the Province of Frosinone.' It is interesting to note in several of these photos the fitting of a padded 'gentleman's apron' - extending from the saddle over the rear of the tank. At least, I am assuming, it wasn't part of the CES? Edited December 13, 2024 by Adrian Dwyer 2 Quote
