Bedford QL Bowser

Hi all 

 

This is some thing I'm struggling with,  i am trying to find out this bowsers past history, where it served etc, any help would be greatly appreciated and any photos or referencing would also be brilliant.

Unfortunately its data plate i presume was stolen, which is a shame but unlucky to who ever has done, as once i can prove it's provenance and hopefully track its history i can register it under its original data plate and get one remanufactured, how or where can i start to find the relevant chassis numbers etc to start tracking its history and movement's in its service life, id be willing to pay for some ones time, if there's such talented people on this platform/thread.

Also i;m looking 

 

again any help whether it be in restoration work or just helping in the knowledge or research side of things would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I am a QL owner and can tell you that the chassis number is on the side of the chassis, passenger side and just below the cab. It is likely to have a prefix of QLC on  yours followed by the number.

@Richard Farrant thank you again much appreciated, i will investigate this on Friday and update on here, do you know where or how to cross reference its chassis number ? as i'm lost in this area.

you could ask the RLC MUSEUM to do a search on just the chassis number it might throw some thing up

to be honest l do not know now what they charge it should not take to long

ive just looked them up and have their contact number i will call them tomorrow and see what the process is, also I'm looking for parts and mainly a steering wheel for this and i forgot to mention this in the description for this thread, my apologies its been a long day and tough  month.
