Randy Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) Hi all, My name is Randy and I am from the Netherlands. I am a reenactor, mainly focussing on the Battle of Arnhem. Currently, I am restoring a Willys jeep, 20-2-1945, and converting it to a British Airborne version as used by the Border Regiment in Oosterbeek. A few months ago I was able to buy an Airborne trailer for it, in quite a bad state, from Norway, it still sits there and in a few weeks time she will make the journey to the Netherlands. Looking for parts in Ebay awaiting its arrival, I got in touch with Richard, and through him, with this forum. I hope I may ask one or two questions considering both projects in the future and make a historically correct pair out of them With kind regards, Randy Edited November 9 by Randy Spelling mistake 5 Quote
Enigma Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Good luck on the resto. The body of the Jeep doesn't look all too bad. Quote
Le Prof Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Welcome @Randy A good bit of work to do there. I'm constantly surprised how these still turn up. (-: Incidentally, if you know of anyone interested in a 1944 SS Cars Airborne trailer, in better condition, but still requiring work (mainly floor patching), and/or an ex British Army 1941'ish MB jeep located in Annecy, France, do contact me for details. Best Regards, Adrian Quote
