Mark Ellis Posted November 8 Posted November 8 A bit stuck. I thought that the number 44734 on the Triplex No. 4 Field cooker was a patent number, but it's not. The Triplex itself is a back to front copy of the Fowler Camp stove, but with a dampner at the bottom of the chimney. Searches by myself and British Library have shown that there is no patent for this. There's a 1933 film that shows them, and I'm sure that I've seen the date of 1918 somewhere, but not 100% So I wonder if 44734 is a military part number, and if so then when did it first appear in any books? Many thanks Quote
