Was there a standard typeface / font used on RAF vehicles (specifically Rover 8's) for denoting the command/group markings. Examples attached show "V/38" (38 Group, Transport Command) and "T/CFS" (Central Flying School, Training Command) but there seems to be some inconstancy to how they're painted. Does anyone have a document which describes lettering/placing, or was it just done depending which way the wind was blowing that day? 😂
