juan carlos rodriguez
Gracias. Le Prof
My TRW 500 is giving me ignition problems, one cylinder runs out of spark whenever it feels like it. I have already put in new platinum, condenser, rotor, distributor cap, high voltage cables, etc., etc., and the problem is not solved. The motorcycle has a high voltage coil and a DKX2A distributor. It is 6 volts with positive ground. Do any of you know an electronic ignition for my motorcycle? Thanks. Richard Farrant
Is your coil connected with the Positive going to the distributor? If not then it is likely this is the cause of a poor spark. Also worth checking the inside of the distributor cap as sometimes a crack can occur and spark takes the shortest route to earth.
juan carlos rodriguez
Well, I don't know if the coil is connected to the distributor at the moment. However, the bike was running fine until a few months ago. I'll check it out. The distributor cap is new, I changed it a year ago because the old one failed when it got hot. I changed it and that problem was solved. Thanks for your attention.
