The rear brake on my 1944 wd/co sometimes “snatches” . I have stripped - it down several times and it is okay for a while and then starts grabbing again. The shoes have about 800 miles on them, but every looks really good. Is it poor quality brake shoes?

I had a similar thing on my WD/G. Erroneously I had thought that it would be a good idea to leave the two bolts that hold the brake pivot bush to brake plate, slightly loose to enable the brake pivot to self centralise itself every time the brake was applied. But this doesn't work and the thing must be centralised beforehand and locked up tight to the brake plate. This is a bit of a work up as the bolt heads are behind the shoes 🥴 Ron
